The controls are the only thing here telling you the truth. Take the obvious route and the floor stops existing. Follow the helpful arrow and it walks you into spikes. Forty levels of engineered betrayal, every one of them learnable: deaths are instant, respawns immediate, and each trap shows you exactly what it did so you can beat it out of spite.
